Fly with us through the CRL tunnel
This month we reached an important milestone! All track has been laid in one of the tunnels between Maungawhau and Waitematā Station (Britomart).

To celebrate, we took a drone down and we’re excited to release footage of its journey all the way through one of the new twin CRL tunnels. Come fly with us.

Link Alliance - Construction Update

Link Alliance works are on track with civil and architectural fit-out getting closer to completion.

At the beginning of the month, signalling and overhead line equipment rooms were handed over for systems fit-out.

We also completed a series of inspections, testing, and commissioning. This included 66 successful fire emergency scenario tests over a few days and nights to ensure that the newly implemented system fits with those already in place.

Work at the eastern end of the station included replacement of the fire door and reinstatement of the glass barrier near the Scene Lane staircase. You’ll notice much of the fencing has been removed around this staircase now.

Additionally, all mechanical, electrical, fire and hydraulic physical works are coming to a close, while traction power containment installation is progressing. The final painting of the eastern corridor and rooms is well underway.

All in all, the team has maintained excellent progress and is looking forward to the final stages of work and handover process with Auckland Transport, Auckland One Rail and City Rail Link Ltd.

Martinus - Construction Update

Overhead line installation during block of line
Good progress has been made over the last month by the Martinus team with the continuation of overhead wiring works, including cable containment and overhead line installations.

The installation of new signal ducting and inspection pits has also been carried out over the recent Block of Line (temporary rail closure).  All these works contribute to optimising rail operations.

    • Planning for the next Block of Line.

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

The Daily Bread kawhe (coffee) cards we handed out for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori went down a treat.

Loads of people got on board and joined in by ordering their morning coffee in te reo. Ka rawe!
