News - July 2019
Friday 19 July was a huge day in the life of the City Rail Link project with the signing of the Project Alliance Agreement between CRL Ltd and a group of national and international companies making up the Link Alliance.
We’re delighted to introduce you to the Link Alliance the team behind delivering our biggest package of works – the tunnels, rail systems and the new and re-developed stations.
A major milestone for the team on the CRL Contract 1 (C1), at Britomart, has been achieved with the first concrete roof slab poured.
Now that construction of the tunnel under the northern end of Albert Street has finished, that team has been able to shift their focus towards streetscape enhancement along the busy central Auckland thoroughfare, says C2 project lead Lucas Nikkel.
We're over the moon to announce that the City Rail Link project been chosen as a finalist in the prestigious World Architecture Festival, to be held in the Netherlands later this year.
What most people don't know about Coffee Right, a modern cafe next to the Auckland District Court in the heart of Albert Street, is that it serves up delicious homemade dumplings and Thai curries alongside a fully stocked cabinet and a classic Kiwi brunch menu.
This month, City Rail Link employees were invited to bring their sons, daughters, nieces, nephews and extended rangatahi along to the CBD office for the first ever CRL children’s day.
We’re pleased to support businesses along the length of the CRL construction project and to encourage our 1000+ workers to shop near where they’re working.
