Excavation work is underway at Mt Eden Station site. The team are preparing for basalt blasting that will occur early June
Work is underway on the vacant land on the corner of Boston Road / Normanby Road. The team are working to establish a work site, and it will be used to store machinery and equipment required for our construction works.
Demolition continues at 28 Mt Eden Road (former Pressprint building). Once complete, this site will be used to perform works on the rail corridor.
At Mercury Lane, the temporary shaft in the centre of the picture is progressing rapidly with two of the three ring beams poured. The shaft – which provides underground access for all plant and personnel – will eventually be more than 20 metres deep and covered by a massive noise enclosure, allowing for 24/7 operations.

Around the Aotea Station work, in the vicinity of the corner of Wellesley Street and Mayoral Drive, crews uncovered remains of the old Salvation Army Hall that was there. Uncovered were several brick foundations walls, two drains and a brick pile.
