Minimising disruption
We regularly monitor construction activity to limit disruption as much as possible, and ensure we are working to best practice, through
Using noise-reduction and/or mats around machinery to muffle noisy work
Limiting light spill into neighbouring properties
Wheel washes before vehicles leave site, to limit the transfer of dirt onto nearby roads
Using water misters and cannons to suppress dust during the warmer months
Training our teams to be good neighbours and respect neighbouring people and properties
Informing our neighbours of our works and notifying disruptive or after-hours work

Living or working near a construction site can be challenging. We aim to minimise disruption and keep our site neighbours informed of our work as much as possible, so they can plan for any changes.
Our regular working hours are 7am – 10pm Monday to Saturday, with less disruptive work occurring between 7pm – 10pm when possible. Fit-out activity inside the tunnels operates 24 hours, 5 days per week.
Sometimes it’s necessary to work outside of these hours or conduct more disruptive work. If this is case, we will notify our neighbours so they what to expect, and can plan accordingly.
