Fairy Lights Dazzle Beresford Square

If you have visited Beresford Square in the evening recently, you’ll no doubt have noticed the additional light and twinkles under the building canopies.

The City Rail Link Karangahape Station team have installed fairy and festoon lighting on the northern side of the square with the same sparkling treatment scheduled for the southern side after the COVID-19 lockdown lifts.

It’s all part of a project to make the square lighter, brighter and more inviting. Watch out for ‘stage two’ later in the project – an artistic installation designed to entice people through the square as the new Karangahape Station takes shape.
