Blessing of Te Manawa
A new specialist building that will be at the heart of Link Alliance operations has been blessed by Mana Whenua representatives this month.
The facility will be called Te Manawa - The Heart. It contains an information centre for our project, the Link Alliance’s state of the art training and induction centre, and will also be home base for our Mt Eden Station construction team.
It is located on New North Road, just a couple blocks away from the current Mt Eden Station office.
Representatives from Ngāti Whatua Ōrākei, Te Ākitai Waiohua, Ngāti Tamaoho and Ngāti Maru led the socially distanced dawn blessing on 11 September.
Rob Mair, CRL Health and Safety manager, passed on his praise of the blessing: “It was a beautiful way to start work on this important facility for the project. Thanks to all Mana Whenua for their attendance and ongoing support.”
