Working Hours & Mitigations
On the main Maungawhau Station site, tunnelling activity and associated supporting works operate 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Our regular working hours for civil construction works (unless otherwise notified) remain 7am - 10pm Monday to Saturday, with works between 7pm - 10pm being minimised where possible.
How we will mitigate the impact of these works:
You may experience some noise, vibration, and dust from these activities, noise mats are used around work sites and equipment when required, and water misters and cannons are used to dampen the material and reduce dust where required.
As with all our works, we monitor for noise, dust and vibration and have monitoring equipment in place that will alert us if we are going over set limits.
We will keep you informed and provide plenty of advance notice about any works that need to take place outside of normal working hours.
As always, our onsite environmental advisers closely monitor activity on site to determine if any further mitigation measures are required and can be put in place.
