Nicole and Liv from City Rail Link’s Communications team joined Derek Whelan, Link Alliance TBM Tunnels Construction Manager inside the tunnels for an exclusive look at what life is like working on the tunnel boring machine.
We spent some time at Link Alliance’s training centre this month, trying out the interactive training modules used to prepare new workers for site.
This month we gave the friendly folk from TVNZ’s Seven Sharp a tour of the first bored tunnel with our CEO Sean Sweeney.
Progress is in the air at our Maungawhau Station (Mt Eden) with the precast concrete panels of the ventilation building now in place for the ground floor.
